A significantly rare and special vehicle of the R8 version no longer made by Audi. Based largely off of the Lamborghini Superleggera LP560 the R8 GT features 40hp more than the standard version with a weight reduction of 85kg through the extensive use of carbon fibre, magnesium and thinner glass. The suspension is also 10mm lower to aid in performance and better road handling.

In right hand drive format the GT spyder is extremely rare, with research showing fewer than 50 right hand drive variants worldwide.
