The Black Series variant elevated the SLS into an entirely different category. This was not simply an upgrade — it was a complete transformation.

Through extensive use of carbon fibre, a titanium exhaust system, carbon ceramic braking system, lithium-ion battery and lightweight bucket seats, the Black Series shed approximately 70 kg over the standard car. Power was increased to 622 horsepower, delivered by AMG’s legendary naturally aspirated V8, while chassis and aerodynamic revisions brought a sharper, more focused driving experience.

A wider track, adjustable coilover suspension, electronic locking rear differential, and aggressive aerodynamic enhancements ensured the Black Series delivered exceptional precision and capability — both on road and track.

Production was extremely limited, with just 350 units built globally, and only a small number produced in right-hand drive configuration, making it one of the rarest modern AMG models ever created.

A Unique South African Example

This particular example holds an even more special place in local automotive history. Finished in Diamond White, it is believed to be the only example delivered in this specification to South Africa.

Having remained with a single custodian throughout its life, the car spent over a decade as part of one of the most significant AMG collections in the country — quietly preserved and meticulously cared for.
